Video of the day: Thomas Sowell on ‘Life, Liberty & Levin’

Dr. Thomas Sowell was Mark Levin’s guest last night on Life, Liberty & Levin to discuss the current situation in America (cancel culture, Marxist BLM and the ubiquitous caving to their demands, defunding the police, soaring crime and murder rates, reaching a point of no return, etc. ) and his new book “Charter Schools and Their Enemies.”

Scott Johnson at the Power Line Blog provides some key quotes from Sowell’s interview:

Even though I’m regarded as pessimistic I was never pessimistic enough to think things would degenerate to the point where they are now where adult human beings are talking about getting rid of the police…

I never dreamed we’d come to this point. It just seems such utter madness. And what is frightening is how many people in responsible positions are caving in to every demand that is made, repeating any kind of nonsense that you’re supposed to repeat.

And then there’s this genius money quote:

If you insulate people from paying the price of being wrong, you’re going to get a lot of wrong things done.
